Throughout the history of photography, buildings have been highly valued photographic subjects, mirroring society’ s appreciation for architecture and its cultural significance.
MICRO NATION is launching its very first architecture photography competition for all the photography enthusiasts out there. The theme being ‘MINIMALIST ARCHITECTURE’.
What is MINIMALIST ARCHITECTURE?
Minimalist architecture, sometimes referred to as ‘ minimalism’, involves the use of simple design elements, without ornamentation or decoration. Proponents of minimalism believe that condensing the content and form of a design to its bare essentials, reveals the true ‘ essence of architecture’. Common characteristics of minimalist architecture include:
- Pure geometric forms.
- Simple, limited and plain materials.
- Neat and straight components.
- Repetition to give a sense of order and unification.
- Simple, open spaces.
- ‘Clean’ lines
OBJECTIVE
Capture the essence of minimalist architecture in photographs (maximum 3). The photographs should be Self-explanatory and Communicative. Minimum editing is allowed i.e.; enhancing your Photographs’ tones and tints. Photo manipulation via adding elements or text is prohibited.
All means of photography are allowed, be it mobile Photography or DSLR capture.
(Participants can submit previously clicked photographs as Well.)

Submission Requirement
- Each Image Size should not be more than 5mb.
- E-mail your entry: microaintsmall@gmail.com
- Subject of the email: MNP-XXX (Unique Identification Code provided to you after a successful registration.)
- Title for photographs should be: MNP-XXX-01,02,03
- A participant can submit up to 3 photographs (maximum) with one registration.
- Group entries will be disqualified, this is an individual competition
- Only original photographs are allowed (No Photoshopped)
All 3 photography should be of same structure?
No, there is no such restriction.

can we use hdr toning in the photography is is it only limited to edit the hue, saturation, tint, contrast, and exposure?
